Visit to Rice Mill Building Workers on International Workers Day

On 1st May 2022, the GNWT Secretary and the animators visited the ongoing building site for Rice Mill under Triveni Agro Industries Private Limited where various workers have been working. At 05:30 after the completion of their work, the workers were gathered, and a short program was held for them. The program started with a Prayer Song by the animators. Then, Sr. Laveena talked about the importance of all kinds of workers in various fields. The GNWT Secretary, Fr. Lawrence D’ Almeida gave a short speech on the history and importance of observing International Workers Day and made them aware of their rights as workers. Sweets and tea were then distributed to all the workers.
