Career Guidance and Counseling Program

On 20^th May 2022, Gonpada Navjeevan Welfare Trust organized a Career Guidance and Counseling Program for the Computer and Spoken English Students at Dibyo Bani Niketan Center, Gonpada. The resource person for the day was Mr. Dipak Mondal, Trainer and Development Counselor from Kolkata. The program started with a prayer song by the students followed with a welcome address. Fr. Saroj Kumar Hess gave a short motivational introductory speech encouraging the students to attend the program actively. Mr. Dipak then took over the program. He talked on various topics such as analyzing oneself, steps to choosing a successful career and developing career through professional skill training. Mr. Dipak addressed these topics through various games and activities. The students that day were also addressed by Ms. Juliana and Fr. Banti from DBSERI. They told the students about the long term and short-term courses available at DBSERI and the career opportunities they can get by going through these courses.  The program ended with Fr Lawrence D’ Almeida informing the students about various nursing colleges and the process of admission as majority of the students were interested in nursing. The students also personally approached the resource persons from DBSERI and talked about their interests.
