FAQs
A small amount goes a long way. Taken together it is these seemingly small contributions that collectively add up to a large amount needed to effect change. The contribution youmake by choosing an amount to donate for a specific area requiring your support will be regulated for the specific cause. If you wish to contribute an amount on your own accord, it will be used as funds for the various intervention programs that GNWT does for the needy beneficiaries under the various Sector Specific Areas.
Yes, your donations to GNWT will be Tax exempted under Section 80G.
You can receive the Tax exemption certificate under 80G virtually through your email address. The certificate can also be sent to you through post.
GNWT in its projects presents the total budget required for intervention after considering all the activities to be undertaken under the project as well as the requirements needed for the project. The Trust will use the funds as allocated in the budget and if the funds are lacking for a certain activity, the Trust will have to minimize its expenditure on the resources. The Trust will provide impact reports periodically and a financial report with the completion of the project showcasing the complete use of funds.
GNWT doesn’t disclose the names of the beneficiaries to the doners as the beneficiary specific information is confidential or private or personal. To provide information to anyone not authorised by the beneficiaries would violate their trust. The Trust will not disclose beneficiary’s information to anyone except those necessary and approved by the beneficiaries
Donations to GNWT can also be made directly through transfer of the contribution amount to the GNWT bank account. If you are a corporate, you can collaborate with us by adopting a project, providing corporate donation or payroll giving. You may also support the beneficiaries and the community in kind.
The Trust plans the outreach activities and intervention as per the support we receive from you. It is through your continuous support that we can bring about change in the lives of the needy children, youth, and women. However, if you want to discontinue your monthly mandate, you may go to the unsubscribe option mentioned under the monthly payments in the donation page which will help you discontinue your monthly mandate.
