World Environment Day Celebration at Dibyo Bani Niketan Hostel

Protecting the environment and promoting awareness on environmental sustainability are the prime concerns of Gonpada Navjeevan Welfare Trust. Thus observing the important calendar days like- World Environment Day is an opportunity to practice the concern. Due to the ongoing pandemic crisis, GNWT celebrated World Environment Day at Dibyo Bani Niketan, Gonpada in the presence of the Principal of St. Arnold’s School Salajpur- Fr. Naveen Prashanth Pinto, the Treasurer of St. Arnold’s School- Fr. Saroj Kumar Hess and the GNWT Secretary- Fr. Lawrence D’ Almeida. The social work animators and the Dibyo Bani Niketan Hostel children were also present for the event. GNWT distributed fruit bearing saplings (mango, litchi, guava, chiku) to the hostel childen to encourage plantation of trees and support afforestation.
