Youth Awareness Programme

On 27th and 28th February, 2021, Saturday and Sunday, a skill development and self-employment guidance programme was organized by Gonpada Navjeevan Welfare Trust in collaboration with DBSERI in four villages- Uttar Amdiha, Uttar Raibarh, Gonpada and Nahapar. The two days guidance programme was conducted by the DBSERI staff/- Respected Fr. Jaisan SDB, Ms. Juliana Minz, Mr. Christopher Hemrom and the student of CET course. Through this programme the youth who had completed Class VIII, X and XII, were encouraged to seek admission for different short-term and long-term courses offered in DBSERI., like- CET, Refrigeration & Ac and home appliances, Tool and Die Maker, House wiring and motor winding/ solar electrical, Welding and Fabrication, Beautician, Tailoring, Carpentry, Tig-Mig welding. The organizers shared that unemployment was at peak everywhere in the country and even the highly educated youth (Graduates, postgraduates and doctorates) are unemployed thus it is necessary to pursue courses with job prospect. The main purpose of this training programme was to help the pass out/dropout to recognize their interest area and purpose in life, thereby helping them to have a secure life.
