75th Independence Day Celebration

15^th August, a day that marks the sacrifice of innumerous martyrs and great leaders India’s freedom and better future, was observed by Gonpada Navjeevan Welfare Trust at GNWT office, Bamanpukur from 9.00 am to 11. 30 am in presence of 100 participants and special invitees- Fr. Kashmir Kujur, Parish Priest of St. Arnold’s Church Bezda, Fr. Naveen Prasanth Pinto, Principal of St. Arnold’s English Medium School, Mr. Anindo Sundar Pal, Headmaster of Belda Primary School, Mrs. Archana Das, Gram Panchayat Member and Fr. Lawrence D’ Almeida, GNWT Secretary. The message of unity, sacrifice, endurance and liberty was upheld through a cultural programme and felicitation of winners for online singing and dancing competition. Mr. Anindo Sundar Pal, Headmaster of Belda Primary School, presented a special speech addressing the need for ‘communal solidarity to overcome the national divide and backwardness of the country’.
