Awareness Program on Domestic Violence against Women in Villages

Awareness on Domestic Violence against Women was held in the target villages for women starting in the month of July starting from 9th July 2022. The program was held on Saturdays in villages of Gobindanagar, Kallyanpur, Palsandapur, Nilpur, Sijua, Joyrampur and Nilamberpur. The awareness program in the villages was conducted by Mr. Ajit Mandi, Mr. Mihir Singh, and Mr. Gabriel Mandi. The awareness program focused on conscientizing the women about domestic violence, how domestic violence occurs, what are the reasons that cause it and what are ways to prevent it from occurring and the laws and provisions under it. The women were also encouraged to help those who are facing such challenges in their homes by advocating against it. A total of 140 women were given awareness on domestic violence through this awareness program.
