COVID-19 Relief Programme for 150 families and Observation of Adivasi Hul Diwas

GNWT on 30th June, 2021, conducted a Covid-19 relief programme in collarobration with Missionaries of Charity Sisters, Kearchand for 150 needy families from Tararui GP-2, Manoharpur GP-3 and Ranisorai GP- 10 of West Medinipur District at GNWT Office, Bamanpukur. The families were supported with dry food kit items, like- rice, pulses, sugar, tea leaves, cooking oil, soya chunks and biscuit.

Since 30th June 2021 is also observed among the tribal’s as “’Hul Kranti Diwas’, so the relief drive commenced with a short programme, recalling the selfless- sacrifice of the martyrs of Santhal rebellion- Sidhu and Kanhu Murmu. MC Sister Superior, GNWT Secretary and the Local Superior and the villagers offered flower to the martyrs of Santhal Rebellion, as a tribute to their sacrifice of life for the Adivasi people.
