Inauguration of a new tailoring training unit at Manoharpur

On 18th December, 2021, Gonpada Navjeevan Welfare Trust inaugurated a new tailoring training and production unit at Manoharpur bus-stand. The purpose of the new unit was to encourage more women from surrounding villages to learn basic tailoring, thereby supporting them to earn minimum income to meet their needs. On this special day, Fr. Naveen Prashanth Pinto blessed the new unit and inaugurated the new center with ribbon cutting ceremony in the presence of other guests- GNWT Secretary- Fr. Lawrence D’ Almeida, Sr. Superior of Bethany Congregation, Tailoring Teacher- Mr. Kohon Sahoo and the owner of the shop. The tailoring trainees of Fatehpur center and GNWT Campus Bamanpukur also participated in the celebration. The new tailoring center would accommodate 15 students per batch. Since it was a special day for GNWT, sweets were distributed to all the participants.
