Resource Person: Fr. Mohan Mandi
Gonpada Navjeevan Welfare Trust conducted a one-day Leadership Training Program for the village leaders of Manoharpur GP-3, Ranisorai GP-10 and Tararui GP – 2 of West Medinipur, West Bengal. The main objective of the training program was to conscientize the village leaders about the ongoing issues in the villages as well as allow them to analyse and discuss solutions for these issues. The leaders were also given training on leadership and how they can mobilize the people to work for the development and the growth of the villages. The resource person for the training program was Fr. Mohan Mandi. Fr. Kashmir Kujur was the guest speaker for the training program. The leadership training program began with a prayer song and welcome address by Fr. Lawrence D’ Almeida. Fr. Kashmir Kujur elaborately spoke about the village community and the issues prevalent in the community today. Fr. Mohan Mandi then oriented the participants about leadership and the ways to go about leadership in the villages. The participants in the end had group discussions where they drew plans on how they would tackle the issues in their respective villages and presented them. The training program came to an end with the vote of thanks by Fr. Lawrence D’ Almeida. The training program was attended by 14 participants altogether.
